OLEAN, NY – Behind a near triple-double from junior Cierra Dillard, the University at Buffalo women’s basketball team (8-1, 0-0 MAC) earned their fourth straight win on Friday night as they ran away from the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, 76-59. Dillard finished off her first career double-double as she netted 14 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds and three steals across 33 minutes of work. The win at St. Bonaventure was UB’s second win of all-time inside the Reilly Center and first as a division I program.
The University at Buffalo wrestling team will host Cornell on Monday night at the UB Center for the Arts in what is being called “Mayhem on the Mainstage.” It marks the first time a wrestling match will be held in the campus’ theatrical venue.

Senior center Cassie Oursler had a career game for the Bulls as she netted career-bests in points with 26 and rebounds with 11 while going 11-for-18 from the floor.

This game will mark the lone December home game for the Bulls as they will close out 2017 with five straight on the road before returning home in January. The Bulls and Golden Griffins will tip at 7:00 pm and the game will air live on ESPN3 with Paul Peck and Amy Audibert on the call.

At halftime, the Bulls will honor members of the 1978 national championship team along with head coach Ed Michael. UB is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the school’s lone team national championship.
The Bulls will make their first ever trip to the University of Delaware on Wednesday night for their non-conference matchup with the Blue Hens. UB leads the all-time series, 2-1, with Buffalo winning the most recent game back in 2015, 99-79. Delaware won the first ever meeting in 1948 and Buffalo won the second meeting, 54-38, on Dec. 13, 1950.
University at Buffalo men’s basketball junior guard CJ Massinburg has been the named the MAC East Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon. This is the first time in Massinburg’s career that he has earned conference player of the week honors.
University at Buffalo head women’s tennis coach Kristen Maines has announced the promotion of longtime assistant coach Smaranda Stan McNerney to associate head coach. Stan is in her sixth season as a full-time coach and in her seventh season on staff after competing for the Bulls from 2005-09.
AKRON, OH – The University at Buffalo women’s swimming & diving team had a strong weekend in Akron as they were able to claim second place with a team score of 1534.5, finishing just behind the hosts. UB improved on their third place finish at the event a season ago.
TEMPE, AZ – The University at Buffalo women’s basketball team (5-1, 0-0 MAC) delivered a huge performance in the consolation game of the ASU Classic on Sunday afternoon as they ran past the UNLV Lady Rebels 80-53. The UB offense was able to shoot a season-best 50% from the floor while also outscoring UNLV 23-4 in the fast break.
Today we learned that we were not selected to play in a bowl game. While this was difficult news to take, it in no way tarnishes the fine season our football team had. We finished the year with six wins, the third-most as an FBS program. It was a huge accomplishment for our team.

With the loss, Buffalo will take on the UNLV Runnin Rebels tomorrow at 2:00 pm inside the Wells Fargo Arena.
