BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women’s swimming team (5-0, 2-0 MAC) earned the 167-35 victory over the Niagara Purple Eagles on Saturday afternoon inside the Alumni Arena Natatorium. The Bulls were able to win all 10 races on Saturday en route to the Big 4 victory.
OLEAN, NY – The University at Buffalo women’s swimming & Diving team (4-0, 2-0 MAC) was able to stay unbeaten on Friday afternoon as they claimed the decisive 203-97 victory on the road against Big 4 foe St. Bonaventure. The Bulls earned victories in 10 of the 16 swimming events on Friday en route to the easy win.

UB earns its highest preseason poll ranking in program history after notching its highest finish, third, at the MAC Championships a season ago.
In recognition of a leadership gift made by the Murchie family to the recently announced fieldhouse, the UB Council endorsed a resolution, on Monday, to name the new fieldhouse at the University at Buffalo, the Murchie Family Fieldhouse in honor of former UB hockey player Tunney Murchie and his family. The naming is subject to the approval of the SUNY Chancellor and the SUNY Board of Trustees.
The longtime dream of an on-campus fieldhouse at the University at Buffalo will soon be a reality. University at Buffalo Director of Athletics Allen Greene announced on Friday that the university has secured the services of Rochester-based LeChase Construction as the general contractor and New York-based architecture firm CHA for the project.

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs were named to the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for the spring 2017 semester. The women posted a team GPA of 3.53 while the men posted a 3.12 GPA. 720 teams representing 443 institutions achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the spring 2017 semester.
The NCAA released annual Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR) data on Thursday afternoon and nine UB programs had perfect single-year rates for 2015-16, while men’s tennis continues to lead the charge with a perfect four-year rate.
CLEVELAND, OH - The Mid-American Conference announced the 2017 Men's and Women’s Swimming and Diving Academic All-MAC team on Friday. The men’s team is made up of 72 student-athletes, while the women’s team is made up of 117. Eight men and 13 women were named to the teams.
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Two athletes from the University at Buffalo women’s swimming and diving team competed in multiple events at the 2017 NCAA Championships. Abbey Croce competed in the one- and three-meter dive; while Megan Burns competed in the 50 Free, 100 Free, and 200 Free.

CARBONDALE, IL – The University at Buffalo men’s swimming and diving team finished third overall at the Mid-American Conference Championships this weekend. The Bulls brought home a total of eight gold medals.

The Bulls added four gold medals and a bronze to their medal totals. This success places the Bulls in second place with 427.5 overall team points.

The team brought home one gold and two silver medals after today’s events. The Bulls are sitting in second place behind Missouri with a score of 237.50. They are a little over ten points out of first place, and 7.5 points ahead of Eastern Michigan who sits in third.

The championship will be held from March 15 – March 18. This year’s hosts are Indiana University and Purdue University in Indianapolis, IN at the IU Natatorium.
