BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team was one of 940 teams amongst all levels of competition to earn ITA All-Academic Honors, while seven Bulls were honored individually for their academic success.

All-Academic teams must boast a team GPA of 3.20 or higher during the 2018-19 academic year, while individuals must have a GPA of 3.50 for the year to earn scholar-athlete honors. Unlike Academic All-MAC honors, freshmen are eligible for this award.

Seniors Mercedes Losada Rubio, Arianna Paules Aldrey, and Chantal Martinez Blanco were all honored as was junior Emel Abibula.  Completing the individual honors for the Bulls was the freshmen trio of Nikoleta Antoniou-Karademitrou, Pia Schwarz, and Hsin-Yuan Shih.

As a team, the women's tennis squad finished the spring semester with the highest overall GPA as the group combined for a 3.714.
